Afternoon Glow
I love Surfer’s Knoll beach in Ventura. It was a warm day and in the late afternoon. In the distance you can see Santa Cruz Island.
Point Reyes
With gale force winds, there was no painting that day! Credit to my partner’s photo of where we stood, I was still able to capture the moment of this spectacular day.
Driftwood Beach
Walking along my favorite beach in Ventura called Surfer’s Knoll, there’s so much driftwood today. This one in particular I found very interesting.
Arroyo Verde Overlook
This is one of the trails I take at Arroyo Verde in Ventura, California. It was a bright spring day with all the wildflowers in bloom. You can see Anacapa Island in the distance.
Carpinteria Bluffs
Carpinteria Bluffs is one of my favorite places for a paint out. Here’s one on a bright sunny day.
Goleta Beach Slough
Standing at Goleta beach behind my easel I enjoyed capturing the reflections from the sky into the water. This is the view looking east towards Santa Barbara, California.
Summer Daze
Using my imagination, I created this nice shaded space under the trees. Enjoy the view!
Goleta Beach Slough
At Goleta beach, I enjoyed capturing the reflection in the sky, the slough and the land before me in all their rich colors.
Ellwood Bluffs
Ellwood Beach is a very special place for me. It’s situated above Goleta’s beaches in California. The open space with lots of trails and not many people offers serenity like no other. I captured this scene on the bluffs right before sunset.
Symphony of Spring
In Carpinteria this pathway was very inviting. I set up my easel to paint what was ahead of me.
Sand Dunes
At Surfer’s Knoll in Ventura, California, it was a wind swept day.
Boats in Reflection
Capturing the deep, rich, and vibrant colors of the boats, I created their reflections to be just as compelling.
Haskell’s Beach Path
Walking along this path I was stopped me in my tracks to paint the view.
Nautical Prism
Discovering these nautical rustic boats huddled together in a secluded cove in Gloucester, Massachusetts, they beckoned me to paint them. I brought these old dilapidated boats back to life with vibrant colors, using artistic license and a bit of my imagination.
Zen by the Sea
The door out to the open sea is symbolic of all possibilities. Inspired by our beautiful oceans, here is one of my imaginary places I created.
