Capturing the Magic —One Brushstroke at a Time

Painting has always been a part of my life from as far back as I can remember as a child. When I step into my studio, time slips away.  I draw inspiration from nature and travel: a quiet walk on the beach, an unplanned hike, or a fleeting scene that stirs me to capture it in a photograph. Back in the studio, those impressions blend with my memory and sketches, coming alive on canvas in oils. What I hope to capture is not just a scene, but its essence—the quiet poetry of place and the emotion I carried.

My journey has carried me far. It began in Santa Barbara, California, my childhood canvas. Later, with only a suitcase and determination, I headed for the East Coast, where I earned my BFA at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts, during the creative pulse of the 1980s. In the early ’90s, I returned to California, balancing corporate life with painting until art claimed me fully.

Since then, I’ve followed inspiration wherever it leads, easel in hand, creating works that have found homes across the world and in permanent installations at institutions, including the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

After decades of painting the land and sea, life has handed me a new palette. I now call the southwest of France home, where I live with my husband and our two beloved cats.

Painting has always been essential to my happiness, so you can expect to see more works from me—only now the scenery has traded California charm for the beauty of the French countryside.

My Etsy shop, now celebrating its 15th year, remains open exclusively to my customers in the United States.   My shop remains the same: dependable, trustworthy, with my commitment to the customer service and guarantees I’ve built my reputation upon.

As I embrace this new chapter, I look forward to sharing my new creations and thank you for your continued support on this artistic journey with me. 🇫🇷🎨🐾
