I have never seen a desert so colorful, but after all the rain we had in 2023, here we have it! I just had to pull over to capture it.
The door out to the open sea is symbolic of hope and possibilities to me. Inspired by our beautiful oceans, here is my imaginary place.
It's a magic time when the sun goes down and the Ojai Valley is awash in muted tones-pink, lavender and peach. Locals call it the “Pink Moment”. This magnificent tower is part of Ojai's Post Office.
The town of Goleta, coined as "Goleta the Good Land" as there used to be many farms. Painted from a photo I took back in 70's, here is "vintage" Goleta back in the day before all the city growth. Over yonder is Santa Barbara in the distance.

This lovely meadow is at the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens. Sitting under an oak tree this was my view.
This is one of the trails I take at Arroyo Verde in Ventura, California. It was a bright spring day with all the wildflowers in bloom. You can see Anacapa Island in the distance.
