I enjoyed this view looking way up from my window at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico every evening at sunset. To preserve the memory, I painted it.
This painting of Pacific Coast Highway also known as Highway One evokes fond memories of my coastal travels and those bright, sunny days along the way.
Inspired by my trip to Japan, I created a serene depiction of lotus flowers symbolizing rebirth, purity, and enlightenment, blooming beautifully in a tranquil pond at my studio.
Along the coastal highway I never run out of the scenes to paint. Here's another place I had to stop at to capture.
I had always anticipated painting it at some point. Journeying north on Highway 101, the oceans and their dynamic coastlines offer boundless inspiration, both on and off the canvas.
I relished capturing the dramatic cliffs and simply being present in that moment. As always, it was a very windy day, and the images I captured became my reference for recreating their magnificence in my warm cozy studio.
I adore driving along Highway 1's northern coastline. Stopping in Monterey to paint the textured cliffs and serene sea on a sunny day was pure joy.
Heading north on the winding Highway 1, with the expansive skies and boundless beauty, the possibilities for painting are endless.
